Deborah Honig is a capital markets specialist with more than 10 years’ experience dealing with institutional, retail, and high net worth clients. Prior to founding Adelaide Capital Markets, she worked as an institutional equity salesperson at full-service investment banks in Toronto for 9 years. Before her career in institutional sales, Deborah was a wholesaler of hedge funds, mutual funds, flow-through funds, and other structured products to the retail advisor community. She has sold research ideas and products, created trade ideas, worked on block trades, marketed companies, conducted multi-city national and international roadshows, sold a variety of different financings, and generated new corporate finance ideas. She has been involved in more than $1 billion of capital raises over the course of her career, with a focus on small-cap growth companies in mining, healthcare, technology, oil and gas, industrials, and special situations. Her greatest strength is her ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a variety of different clients. Deborah has a B.A. (Hons) from the University of Toronto, holds the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designation and Derivative Market Specialist designation (DMS), and is currently pursuing the Fellow of Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI) designation.
Jackie Kelly joins Adelaide Capital Markets from a publicly traded company in the health care industry in Los Angeles, after half a decade in the capital markets on Bay Street. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Wilfrid Laurier University, followed by exchange courses in the International Business program at Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Rennes in France. Beyond completing the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH), and equities trading courses, Jackie brings a wealth of experience in client relations and corporate marketing.
Jayson Moss contributes more than 15 years of capital markets experience. Before joining Adelaide, for 8 years he worked with a Canadian subsidiary of a global investment manager. There his in-depth research into multiple and diverse industry sectors was key in identifying attractive investments to include in large-capitalization Canadian and U.S. equity mandates totalling $20 billion in assets. During the 7 years previous, he served as an Equity Research Analyst and Director of Equity Research for a broker dealer. Jayson holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of Alberta, a Diploma of Technology, Marketing Management in Commercial Real Estate from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, and the Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute. In 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019, he was the recipient of the Brendan Wood International TopGun Investment Minds Canada Award.
Nicole Baker comes to Adelaide Capital Markets from a multi-industry administrative background, ranging from the automotive, through finance, insurance, and accounting, to communications and law in arbitration. With this breadth of practical experience, Nicole has developed a diverse set of tools for achieving success in all walks of business, enhanced by courses toward a financial management specialization and studies in corporate strategy through the University of Illinois. The Canadian Securities Course is further expanding her industry knowledge related specifically to capital markets.
